Little things can make a
teacher's day! When I switched from verbally doing roll call for attendance and
lunch count to having a morning check in, it really created a smoother morning.
Students love it. One
student came to me and said it was like what his mom did at work, clock in and
out!
It's soooooo easy to get up
and running. I just use a pocket chart labeled with their names. At the bottom
I have packed lunch cards (blue) and hot lunch (green). Students just insert
the correct card in their pocket!
I've seen other versions
using clips.
